At last all six pieces of the new album are asymptotically ready for sending to the Mastering Engineer who is yet to be chosen. There are still some minor tweaks to be made, some tiny bits of tidying, but it’s almost, at last, finally nearly ready. Mark and Noel are going to listen to the whole thing on Friday and decide on the final touches. They’re also going to look at the cover design; Mark has some great ideas for the artwork featuring myself, the Stone Owl Barethenot (pronounced Bar-eth-e-no; it’s a name from the lost language of Rockall). As Noel says:
“Our hope is to release Stone Owl in October, after the Independence celebrations/hangover have subsided. It’s so close we can almost smell it (and we don’t mean the glove).”
